The outgoing administration seems to have gotten past lying and dodging the questions, now that they’re certain they won’t be held accountable for war crimes. In an ABC interview, Dick Cheney was proud to claim his role in supporting CIA’s role in torture, saying he was
“involved in helping get the process cleared”.
Vice President Dick Cheney has been the most close-mouthed member of the super-secret Bush Administration (part 2). He is widely believed to have been the driving force behind the invasion of Iraq, continued occupation, detention of enemy combatants…in general, the last seven years of war crimes.
President George W. Bush is opening up, too. The vaunted “shoe throw” covered up his dismissive admission that al Qaeda was not operating in Iraq until after the US-led invasion. Someone ought to tell Sarah Palin.
